OPEN CALL

Community Workshop // JUNE 19th

What will it be about this time?

The Community Workshop is going into the third round and is aimed at all those who want to implement movement programmes in Heidelberg in 2024.

INTER-ACTIONS is planning an exciting new format: What if dance was fun? and invites you to join us on 19.06. to work on initial ideas.

What if dance was fun? is an open campaign that will make dance in its various facets visible in Heidelberg for one year. The project relies on joint advertising and sponsorship strategies and wants to finally connect the different audiences for dance.

The starting point is our joint workshop, where we are looking for creative ideas for the following questions.

  • There are very different types of dance in Heidelberg. Can we connect these very different actors and their audiences/participants by working together more intensively? Will this give us all more attention and a larger audience?
  • Is it easier to acquire sponsorship for individual contemporary dance projects through jointly designed programmes?
  • Do we need the border between professional and non-professional dance and different art disciplines or how can we rethink it?
  • What could it look like if dance had a concrete impact on society and for society? What if dance was fun?

So it’s all about a very concrete project that will be implemented as soon as next year!

There will be two dates for which you can apply between 09.06-16.06. First come first serve!

There will be a 75€ allowance per participant.

Please register in large numbers and give us the feeling that dance in Heidelberg is supported by an active independent scene.

Block I: 19.06 // 10am-2pm – 10 participants

Block II: 19.06. // 4pm-8pm – 10 participants

Simply send us an email to studio-actions@inter-actions.de stating your name and contact and your preferred time (Block I or Block II).

As we want to respect the professionalism of the teachers of the BUILDING-ACTIONS Sessions, we kindly ask you to please be on time for the classes starting at 7pm

If you don’t make it, unfortunately there will be no more possibility to participate in the session. Thank you for your understanding!

Sharing Works continues! At the next event, on Thursday, 18.05. you can meet the dancer and choreographer Cecilia Ponteprimo and the artist and photographer Eyal Pinkas.

We are very proud and happy to officially announce that INTER-ACTIONS will be receiving both the TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund National funding program for the coming three years as well as the TANZPAKT RECONNECT project funding program in 2022.

With the support of Tanzpakt RECONNECT we will be able to work on the visibility of dance productions after the lockdown experience of Covid-19. With the support of TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund we are excited to be able to build new sustainable models and networks with exciting partners from the city of Heidelberg.

We are very excited to start all these future projects and grateful for the recognition by juries and policy makers in Heidelberg, the state of Baden-Württemberg and the federal government. We would like to specifically thank the state of Baden-Württemberg for the funding, as well the city of Heidelberg, which is supporting us with new institutional funding for the future.

We are very proud to announce that we are part of the »Weiterkommen!« funding program of Zentrum für Kulturelle Teilhabe.

The program accompanies cultural institutions on their way to more openness and accessibility. We are grateful and looking forward to the support next year.
